We met with 17 Guinness World Record holder Erden Eruç at Penguen Bookstore/Kazasker branch.
Erden is an amazing person. The first and only person to circumnavigate the world with muscle power. He rowed 29,000 nautical miles across 3 oceans. He has tremendous experience.
Same dreams, same feelings, same goals. He has accomplished them. Now it's my turn.
I had a very useful and joyful meeting with him.
He shared very important information about the waves, currents, winds and seasonal characteristics of the oceans.
We talked a lot about loneliness and insomnia, which I predicted to be the most difficult in my race. He told about his interesting memories and gave advice.
We had a very enjoyable and useful day, we talked a lot. At the end of the day, I invited him to participate in a few races together, and he said he would happily attend. I am sure that he will contribute a lot to the team with his personality and experience. Who knows, maybe we will be the first Turkish team to participate in Duo around the world yacht races in the future.
